The Lord is my shepherd :)

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
- Psalm 23:1-4

Whilst reading this...yet AGAIN i am reminded of the need to get out of the drivers seat...and let God take His rightful place in my life.

I need to realise that I should go to Jesus with all my weaknesses: physical, emotional and spiritual, and rest in the comfort of His presence, remembering that nothing is impossible with Him.

It's so important that we take our minds away from our problems so we can focus our attention solely on Him.

God is able to do immeasurably more than all we could ever ask or imagine.

Why not, instead of trying to direct Him to do this and that, don't we seek to attune ourselves to what He is already doing?

When anxiety attempts to wedge its way into our thoughts, we need to remind ourselves that Jesus is our shepherd!

The bottom line is that He is taking care of each and everyone of us, so we needn't be afraid of anything.

Rather than trying to maintain control over our lives, we should abandon ourselves to His will.

The end result is that we will be in the safest place we ever could be:)
